Best Flowers

When it comes to select flowers for our loved ones for my humble opinion they must be the most beautiful and the freshest ones before sending them away. You see, flowers do not last for long. They are delicate, fragile, require certain care, certain ambient temperature, certain shipping packaging and so many other ways.

Of course if any one of you raises them in their home or garden you know what I am talking about. Take roses for example, one of the most powerful flower on earth I would safely say. You see them all over, from shinning sea to shining sea. I am not here to guide you on how to take care of flowers as I would like to raise the awareness and reminder for each one of us on treating our loved ones at least once a year with a simple and beautiful bouquet of flowers. My heart immediately feels for my dear mother. Oh how much she loves roses and mimosas.

Flowers, besides other good things, have a wonderful emotional effect on us a humans especially when they are sent not only as gifts but simply as a way of appreciating your loved ones in any regular day. You may lift up that person’s spirit that day, you may bring joy, you may make someone cry when a bouquet of roses of colorful colors reminds them a child that they lost, a mother that they miss, a father, a sister, a brother, a closed one.

My small mission is to lift up each other in this times we live today. Anyone of us deserves something simple, beautiful and heart felted. Let’s stop for a moment and smell the roses as the saying says. Lets build a culture of kindness and care for our loved ones especially for our mothers. Take action, don’t wait.

Mothers deserve best flowers!

Please feel free to drop me a line no matter what the thought may be. I will be more than happy to discuss with all of you.

Take care.

Tim

I think this is going to be a great site for cut flower references. I want to know what cut flowers have the longest life? I think Carnations are one type, right? What others could I send mom that would grace her table for a couple of weeks?

      Hi Lin,

Yes, carnations are very wanted flowers in my country as well. We plant them in our small front yards and inside homes in vases and there is nothing better than the aroma! I love particularly the red ones! I will research and see which from cut flowers has the longest life and post it in my site along with some changes recommended by you. Until than take care and keep that pencil sharp!

      Hi Lin,

I did some research and found out that there are several flowers that can last from 7 to 30 days after they have been cut and placed in vases. Here we go:

Roses: 7 – 10 days in cold water. Make sure you cut them inside the water to avoid any air bubble.
Carnations: 14 – 30 days in fresh water. Remove leaves at water level and under. Color will change as days go by.
      Lily: 14 days
      Gladiolas: 14 days
      Chrysanthemum: 25 – 30 days
      Orchid: 14 – 21 days

Make you mom happy by combining all of these flowers together in a beautiful set of colors.

Until next time be well and do good work.

      Hello Anthony,

Thank you so much for your comment. You are the one that uplifted me! Will continue to write posts for our lovely mothers and of course best flowers for them. I am entertaining in my mind another blog that I was inspired today at a elderly care center I visited today. Will post it soon.
Will check your web site and give my input as well in the comment area.

      Regards, Tim

      Hello Anthony,

Glanced at your web site as a start. Loved it! It seems to flow very smooth and nice combination of content with images. Liked you “About Me” page.
I also noticed an advertisement of raileurope.com for deals from London to Paris. I am going in England and Europe in June and am penciling it down where, when and how much to spend on trains in this trip. Perfect timing. As soon as I fix the dates I will come back to your site and check that offering. Until than take care.
